MOA stands for Ministry of Agriculture. and the MOA Scotch Bonnet type is officially recognized by the government of Jamaica as the true Scotch Bonnet type for commercial growing. It is very prolific with a nice sweet flavor. If you like Scotch Bonnets it is absolutely one you have to grow. Oh did we mention that is an abundant producer of amazing-tasting Yellow pods?

The fruit has a distinct bonnet shape and is suited for farmers’ markets and hot sauce production. It is an ideal variety for yellow pepper mash production, drying into flakes, roasting, and production of jelly, chutneys, jerk seasonings.

It ripens from green to Yellow-orange.
