Description

The Anaheim is a Hatch chile type that was brought to California from New Mexico and is now found in every grocery store on the West Coast. It was named after the City of Anaheim located in Orange County, California. The original ripens from green to red. However, the Orange Anaheim has a very different flavor profile and ripens to a nice Orange color. Anaheim chiles average 10 to 12 inches long whereas Anaheim Orange is about 8 to 10 inches in length. The flavor when ripened is similar to an orange bell type but more citrus sweet.

Use: Great roasted or in sauce or salsa! Powder, chili, and would be amazing in a fruit-based salsa.
