Description
Akane Apples are a round, small to medium-sized that have a thin, bright red skin. Inside its white flesh is firm, crisp, juicy and with a tart, complex flavor. It is a Japanese cross between Jonathan x Worcester Pearmain developed by the Tohoku Agricultural Experiment station in 1937.
