Description
Black Twig is an American heirloom apple, discovered as a seedling in Tennessee 1830. Tennesee’s state apple and reportedly to be Andrew Jackson’s favorite apple.
The apple is red firm, tart and tannic. If allowed to age, sweetness and acidity balance out a bit more. Great for cider, baking, and eating. Tannic type juice. This apple tends to be tart and of unparalleled fresh eating quality.
