Description
A flavorful, large, red-and-yellow apple and is highly scab resistant. It has been proven to be able to thrive in maritime and even coastal areas. Even though it ripens early it keeps for months! A sweet and tart mixture of flavors makes it good for fresh eating, pies, or sauce. Wynoochee Early apple also keeps far better than most early apples. Excellent. Large, with red stripes on a creamy yellow background skin color.
The tree is spreading and a vigorous grower, with great scab resistance. Discovered as a chance seedling near Aberdeen WA, in Southwest Washington state.
