Ah, cooking………… What can we do with Apricots besides eat them fresh. Well they can be dried and baked in cobblers or tarts. Oh how about apricot glazed chicken, maybe a ham and so much more. 

 Nutritional Value 

Apricots wonderful nutrient dense but low calorie fruit, that has been called the nutrional heavy weight among fruit.  It offers an impressive array of powerful antioxidants and dietary fiber. Vitamins in Nectarines include Vitamin A, C, K, E, Carotenes,  potassium, iron, zinc, calcium and manganese. Apricots are an excellent source of potassium and other minerals like magnesium and calcium. They are rich in dietary fiber, which in turn reduces bad cholesterol. Making them heart healthy. Further it is thought that Apricot consumption or other fruits rich in zeaxanthin helps eyes protect from age-related macular disease (AMRD), especially in the older adults.
